Using the same base building plan you have been using and getting acquainted with, you are now being asked to space plan four different suites within the same floor. The corridor system and the four spaces have already been determined so your task is to work within each of the four spaces. You will also determine the placement of TWO entrance/egress doors for each of the four spaces.
Refer to the Floor Plan showing the location and configuration of the four suites.
DELIVERABLE: A 2D AutoCAD Space Plan printed on 11 x 17. Black Ink on white paper (no color). Maximize the size of the plan on the page. Label each suite and the spaces within. Look at examples of labeled floor plans for examples of how to label neatly. Remember that wall have thicknesses and door swings need to be shown. If you have time, differentiate graphically between solid walls and glass walls
Space 1: A Small Interior Design Firm
A non-hierarchical office. Private offices do not need to be on the perimeter. Use benching or desking for workers in the open plan.
Reception Area: 200 sf
Conference Room: 125 – 150 sf
Two Private Offices: 125 – 150 sf
10 Employees in open studio space (50 sf each)
Coffee/Copy Area: as space allows
Space 2: A Co-working Office Facility
A non-hierarchical office. Private offices do not need to be on the perimeter. Use benching or desking for workers in the open plan.
Reception Area: 150 sf
2 Conference Rooms: 150 sf each
5 Small Private Offices: 75 sf each
Two Areas in the Open each with a different arrangement and space for 8 workers each (50 sf/person)
Copy/Coffee Area: as space allows
Space 3: An Advertising Agency
A non-hierarchical office. Private offices do not need to be on the perimeter. Benching or desking for workers in the open plan.
Reception Area: 225 sf
Large Conference Room: 300 sf
Small Conference Room: 150 – 200 sf
4 to 5 Private Offices: 125 sf each
12 workers out in the open: 50 sf each

A hierarchical office with attorneys and partners in private offices on the perimeter.

2 Partners in Private Offices: 175 sf each

4 secretaries: 50 sf each
Library: 150 sf
4 paralegals in enclosed spaces 75 sf each
Coffee/Copy Room: as space allows.
