Review the assigned chapters and watch the video lecture about interpersonal relationships.
Choose a relationship you have with a family member and write an analysis in paragraph format addressing the following areas. An effective analysis is typically at least two pages in length. NOTE: you should use the same relationship for the stages of coming together and coming apart.
Using the information from the video lecture about types of family, what family type best describes your family? Provide a couple of relevant examples that helps to explain your choice (You are free to define family however you wishâthis could, for example, include close non-blood related individuals). You can use the Assessing Your Family\’s Communication Pattern evaluation on page 307 in the textbook to help you identity the type. The information about how to score the evaluation is on page 321.
Using Knappâs Model of Relational Development, analyze a relationship stage by stage with a family member of your choosing (see pages 266-272). Please address all five stages of coming together and all five stages of coming apart. If you believe a stage doesnât apply, please explain how so. Also, please make sure to provide relevant examples from your relationship. Note: You should use the same relationship for the stages of coming together and coming apart.
Include one to two concepts from chapter 9 about the dynamics of interpersonal relationships and explain how the concept(s) applies to the relationship you analyzed.
As a reminder, you should use the same relationship for the stages of coming together and coming apart.
Please use Edited Standard Written English and MLA format. See the syllabus for more information.
