⢠2. Applied Research What is Applied Research and how do we use it in the PR profession to gain profile for our clients and/or organizations? How does applied research differ from more academic forms of research?
⢠3. From a research idea to the news headlines Explain the process of taking a research idea and turning it into an idea of interest to journalists. What is the difference between qualitative and quantitative research? In PR what are the advantages and disadvantages of each type of research. Why might you write and/or promote a White Paper as PR? Do you think these papers have value in promoting clients/organizations?

Common objectives of PR Research Explain how the PESO model reflects the current state of PR; Discuss the common objectives of PR research, the differences between primary and secondary research and which forms of research you envision using in the PR workplace; discuss the gap between perception and reality and why an understanding of this matters in PR.
