This will be a written assignment for my doctoral qualitative research class.
For this particular assignment, respond to the following topic:
For this assignment you will code narrative data to answer a research question: \”How do doctoral students in RES 7700 perceive and understand their experiences with education and educative processes?\” Narratives were submitted in Week 1 which you will work to code. The coding scheme that you will develop must lead you to answering this specific research question.You will be reading and ‘makingsense’ out of these narratives through the lens of ‘what can these narratives tell you about the research question? ’Another way to this about this is that you will be interrogating the narratives with this research question. Also, you must use Word or Excel to code the transcriipts and create the Code Book. You can use highlighting, color-coding, annotation, comment function, tables, etc. If you do your coding by hand on paper with pencil, you will need to transfer this into a Word file. You will be asked to include the coded transcriipts to the final paper. The report must include:
* A research question.
* The transcriipts with the coding process (i.e., original text unitized; category codes; sorting of 
the categories into themes, and possibly relationships between themes).
* The coding scheme: explanation of your codes.
* Summary of your findings: What did you learn so far about your research question? Work to connect your claims here to the language in the narratives.
* MEMO A: An explanation of how you moved from your codes to your findings and your 
coding process.
* MEMO B: What do you think about coding? Where do you see gaps in your data? How does what you learned inform your thinking about your interview/observation data?
* A list of references that back up all in-text citations. Be sure to use APA.
For your reference, I am a healthy, white 34-year old female from Kentucky. I am extremely active and spend a lot of time working out and eating healthy food. Also, I am a college professor in the Exercise Science department and own an online fitness and nutrition coaching business.
I have attached a copy of the assignment details, as well as the narrative transcriipt that will be used for this assignment. There are also 2 examples provided of how the coding should be completed and put into words. Also, I have attached the book chapters and recommended resources to elaborate on the course material discussed during this section.
